My Day of Service, January 17, 2011 -- What might YOU do?
Yesterday I found myself in a particularly challenging conversation about what fibromyalgia is and how it impacts my life. They were good questions coming from a sincere desire to learn, but with scrutinization -- this person realizes I am bringing health education that is truthful and cost efficient and progressive to people, and that I'm serving people by providing information on a website that's increasingly "lighting the path to health and well-being" for people, but was clearly resistant to believe that fibromyalgia is what I say it is. read more »

The Power of Friendship in Recovering from Illness -- or Brain Injury!
I wanted to get something written up today EARLY while it is what is being covered on the news today related to the memorial service in Tucson last night which was a great deal about healing the country as well as Congressman Giffords having just opened her eyes for the first time right beforehand. Her friends who were present were just interviewed and 'obviously giddy' with the excitement of seeing her making improvement and feeling positively about the opportunity which was taken related to this unfortunate event to provide an example to all of us for not overly analyzing what the p read more »

The FallOut from Fireworks - What Do YOU Think and Choose to Do? Leadership changes with YOUR input!

7 Years Ago to Now ... It Comes Together!
I woke up this morning a little later than I wanted to -- I sleep with an 'intermission' these days and last night's intermission found me getting up to make something to eat after finishing a wonderful book titled Women, Food, and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything by Geneen Roth. So Rock Cesario's "Acoustic Sunday" radio show on local radio station "Drive 105" was underway, but the lure of someone having brought me Gevalia yesterday had me enticed. I struggle with caffeine addiction the way other people struggle with o read more »

Veteran's Day 2010, A Tribute to My Dad and Info about How Lumigrate is Addressing Information
Two months ago, my sister, her husband and I were joined by our friends and family to celebrate a life that had passed on Labor Day -- that of my father. It was a beautiful fall day in a chapel at the top of a mountain outside of Denver, Colorado with pine trees out the door and window and an interesting history of people collecting to come pay their respects. The pace and theme of the service had been kept very much like a music program because it was put together by music teachers (sister and her husband), with my more serious piece interjected which reflected what I do for a read more »

Halloween Memories -- Reese's or Pieces? Tricks About Treats!
"Life is about compromises" 'they' say, and I'm going to compromise about Halloween this year. I've decided to write something in this blog that I can Print and include with what I give to the kiddos and their parents (hopefully) coming around tonight. I've decided to give Reese's out, because they're kind of a tradition in my family. My mom selected the TWO PACKS to give out when I was in junior high because the kids had so few houses to go to 'in my neck of the woods' (which it literally WAS the woods -- rural Colorado mountains).&nbs read more »

LONG Overdue - ReGROUPing, ReSTOREing, ReDOING AND PODCASTING!
This past week felt like 'coming home' to me. For one thing, I was home all week with a tweeked SI joint on my right side which was making life 'difficult' more than usual for me. Fortunately, I had just met a chiropractor who is certified in ART, which is a technique the hand therapy component of my previous contract business had included via the very talented 'hand therapist' I employed. ('Quotes' because I consider it 'therapy' when you work on patients and the therapy world, run by people with lots of degrees like mine and more, consider 'assistants' assistants, read more »

How a Tire Changed Things for YOU (and Me) with Lumigrate
"Some days you write the song ....... some days the song writes you" is playing on my beloved Acoustic Sunday radio show by Rock Cesario as I start writing today, and I realize that Yenta, Alice and I all talk about how we regroup for a while related to what to write about and then have a general idea of what we're going to write about but then the piece takes on quite a life of it's own. So we can only hope today is the same for me and this finds you entertained. read more »

What YOU and I Can Do to Reduce Toxins - Stop Watching Fireworks!????
Susie Collins has a most interesting online community about multiple chemical sensitivity called 'The Canary Report'. I have always LOVED that title because I have always said that I've felt like I am virtually like a canary in a cage, or was when my symptoms were worse. (To use the Full Barrel Syndrome analogy, my barrel has gotten emptied in recent years so I'm not as sensitive as I used to be, but anything I used to be sensitive to, I still avoid as I know it's a toxin and my body is just able to compensate now, as hopefully all healthier people do... BUT..... read more »
