I'm eating a lot of cole slaw lately.  In late July, I received word through Messenger (interconnected with Facebook) of the sudden passing of one of my most important friends of my entire life.   We were all early 20's, and he started out as a coworker of my significant other-turned-husband. He would come to dinner once a week (Tuesdays, one semester, which had to do with their class schedules attending the University).  I'd purchased a mobile home near campus literally next to the railroad tracks, and I worked on or near campus.  read more »

Do you remember how fun it was to get printed Christmas Letters (or whatever holiday you'd celebrate) in the mail?  I loved them -- I remember the first woman who was doing them, too -- her daughter was my first friend from age 2 or 3.  I look forward to getting an update from YOU if you are updating!   read more »

They say every person who loves dogs will have three really special ones in their lifetime.  I'm on my third, and I've not owned any of them, technically.  Meet O'Rio! And he's the first male for me, the previous two extra special ones (to me) were females.  And did I get an epitome of a big, male dog to learn from/help heal /BE with for part of life's journey or WHAT?    read more »

On January 1 of this year (2013), Billie Green unwittingly stepped into a new role, as her "YOU!" of the Lumigrate collaborative care model.  As a resident of the Grand Valley of western Colorado, moving here after completing the rehabilitation provided by her employer through worker's compensation insurance, with very limiting restrictions at the end of that process which left her looking for work but definitely NOT looking good on an application to employers.  read more »
