It sometimes takes me years from the time I learn of something new to me 'outside the box' before I feel I find the experts and information that I'd want to integrate into a topic on Lumigrate. AND I create things as needed by enough people I encounter who are wanting or needing this kind of information. I love the enthusiasm people typically have after the holidays and with the 'new year'. Every year since Lumigrate launched in 2009, I try to do something "around Lumigrate" to contribute. This year I decided to simply focus on the local seminars sponsored by one of the health food stores here, Natural Grocers, and in particular one being hosted at the Mesa County Libraries. Dairy is one of the more talked about topics today, of those who are concerned about diet and wellness. Gaining in popularity in recent years due to increased awareness and then education efforts by concerned consumers, prodocers, and providers of health information and care, are diets that have opinions about diary which differ not only from that of the mainstream, but with each other. The past decade has provided so many documentaries about foods and health that I doubt many experts have had the time to watch all of them. read more »

I am pleased to see that there are a few innovative treatment facilities in the United States looking at the body, not just mind and spirit, when it comes to what causes addictions, and how to address them from a functional medicine perspective, looking for the underlying reasons and root causes and treating at 'that level'. It makes sense that there are physiological causes -- what those are might suprise you, as well as how many people are affected, who might not be identified as 'addicts'. read more »
