Healthy and "happy" things in your head are always good and desirable, right? I'd say so! I'm not really sure why the pineal gland was not a bigger topic in my formal education (occupational therapy, mid 1990s, Colorado State University and before that K-12 in the biggest school district in Colorado. The curriculum came in big boxes to the teachers and they were teaching what was mostly set up for them to educate us about.) I started hearing about it when I started talking to other medical professionals about fluoride and the effects fluoride has on the body. read more »
My Christmas Message for 2011 - Tradition! Framily! Acceptance and Growth.
Last week, I made a trip over the snowy, Colorado Rocky Mountains to visit people before Christmas. Half to visit friends and fun, and the other half to visit friendly colleagues and have some fun while meeting about various mutual interests. I got to thinking that I visited with Catholics, Protestants and Jews on my trip. I am GRATEful for my father's having insisted on the atheistic approach, although my mother and grandmother slipped in some of their Christian beliefs here and there. read more »

I am a new contributor--thanks to Mardy for the invitation! While most of what I post will be reposts from the two sites where I blog, Virtual Teahouse and Finding Ground, I hope that you will find the thoughts helpful. Hello my dawlinks! Oy vey! I'm hoping I can stay put for a week or two so we can get re-aquainted. No sooner did I get home from my trip, did my sister in law call from California to ask for your Yenta's help. The Season of Lent is upon us. Because I live where Mardi Gras originated in the USA., I have huge reminders to prepare for Lent. Today is FAT TUESDAY (Mardi Gras Day) or the day before Ash Wednesday. I think I am ready, I've considered it carefully, I have explored the options and I have a plan.

I thought today I'd write a very quick blog post and hope to have more people who have something to add to Lumigrate come and be a part of something that is helping many now, and we plan to have that grow! With everyone's help in grabbing an oar, if only to write one line in the Lumigrate Forum area, it's a contribution! read more »

Thanks Giving
Six years ago today, I was sharing a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and significant other in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I had lived for a handfull of years, and telling them I had been arm-twisted by a previous employer there to help out with a staffing shortage in Grand Junction, Colorado for three weeks. How did three weeks turn into six years? Well, if you are lucky enough to have ever been, it's a lovely little city -- the banana belt of Colorado (except we grow apples, peaches, and grapes (so hence winemaking), not bananas!). I just felt I read more »
