Do you get your 5 fruits AND 10 vegetables EACH day? C’mon! Be honest! I don’t personally know of anyone who does. Even if they really want to, they just don’t.

I certainly didn’t before I started using an organic drink that contains all of those servings in a single scoop. It also happens to have an Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity value (ORAC value) of 10,000 in each scoop, which is huge.

Omega Organic Greens drink gives you vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, probiotics/prebiotics, immune boosters, and probably nutritive substances that we have not even identified yet, not to mention having a naturally alkalizing effect on the body.

We have all been told “be sure to eat your fruits and vegetables” right? And some do 'juicing', which I have tried  and found it to be expensive, messy, and time consuming. I have tried dozens of other “juices” and “greens” in both drink and tablet form, and my preferred product now is Omega Organic Greens.  At $39.95 it's hard to beat the price. If you purchase ORGANIC fruits and vegetables, it can be quite expensive.

And it's convenient.  Ideally, we'd all be able to do this the real foods way; realisitically, a scoop of Omega Organic Greens each day ensures that you get the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables each day. It’s easy, it’s affordable, and it’s organic, and we make it available at ITC for our customers for those reasons.

You Got Me Going on a Previous Product, Hope This Isn't Sweet

Good to know, Allan! Actually, Gary mentioned this to me last time I talked with him on the phone when I had a question about something -- magnesium I think it was.  I really liked the First Greens or Greens First (I could never keep it straight) product that you carried before except it was overly sweetened for MY liking.  Not that it would lead me to not use the product, but I'd frequently think "I would enjoy sitting down and sipping this as an afternoon 'break' treat, if it weren't so sweet.  I look forward to trying this; unfortunately I forgot to order some when I went over my supplements and ordered this month, since that is in the kitchen not the bathroom with all the supplements.  Maybe in 2012 I'll find a new, better, perfect system for doing my supplementation of nutrition and hormones.

You know, there is a theory in marketing that I have heard about and think your shelves at ITC might tell me you've implemented in your business.  There are two kinds of people: Satisfyzers, who are happy with what they have found and have, and Maximizers, who are always looking for a better item.  The person I learned that from also was big on not giving people too many options, as it's shown that people purchase more when they're not overwhelmed with choices.  I've tried to do that with Lumigrate, bringing in the best providers of products and services or information I can but keeping it narrowed down.  While ITC has a LOT of products for LOTS of different things, I find your shelves very easy to navigate, particularly with the 1:1 help that is always available.  I want to remind people that y'all are available when they call up if they have questions as well.

Again, thanks for the information and I hope people want to try this product as much as I do.  I really like the 'one shot a day' simplicity of having, as you say, pre/probiotic, alkalyzing, and all the goodies that are in fruits and vegies AND organically!  Awesome!  ~~ Mardy

Details about Ph/Alkalinity in foods and this product; WHY?

We talked, above, about “eating your fruits and vegetables” and I think we all agree that it would be a good idea to do that. Surprisingly, the questions came back asking "exactly WHY is it important?" Well, we all know about antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients from fruits and vegetables, but perhaps just as important is the body’s buffering capacity.

Our body tends to be acidic. The metabolic processes of the body makes lots of acid from metabolizing meats, carbs, soft drinks, and other poor dietary choices (see PDF of list, below). Pesticides, environmental toxins, stress, …. etc. only add to the problem. There are several systems in the body that work to neutralize and balance all these acids. If you want more details, review the article referenced below.

For all the acids that are produced on one side of the “see saw”, there needs to be an alkalizing or acid eliminating system/s to “balance” them. The daily fruits and vegetables provide a major alkalizing buffer system for the body, not to mention all the provided nutrients mentioned earlier.

Disease has a very difficult time manifesting itself in an alkaline environment. To be more alkaline and less acidic requires a diet that produces more alkaline results, as it is metabolized rather than all the acid forming results from the foods that we tend to eat.

We also said in the previous article that it is very difficult to get the equivalent of 10 vegetables and 5 fruits EACH and EVERY day, and even more difficult to make sure that it is all organic. That’s why I mentioned that a single scoop of Omega Organic Greens can make that ordeal very affordable, doable, and even pleasant.

Just to be clear, drinking alkaline water can cause issues in the stomach and lower intestine, areas that need to be acidic. Again, you will need to eat more alkaline-forming foods and, perhaps, fewer acid-forming foods in order for your body to be more alkaline.

http://www.itcpharmacy.com/pdf/phoffoods.pdf  MARDY'S NOTE - ITC HAS BEEN CHANGING THEIR WEBSITE AROUND AND MAYBE HAS TWO DIFFERENT ONES NOW, SO THIS LINK IS NOT CURRENTLY WORKING BUT I'M LEAVING IT AND SUGGESTING YOU JUST SEARCH TO FIND A CHART OF THE pH of FOODS on your own.
