Fibromyalgia AWARENESS Contest ends today -- the process from the OT in me.
Today is May 19th, the last day of our 2011 Fibromyalgia Awareness Day contest. There are many contributions and they are ALL REALLY GOOD. 'GRATE' as we say around here! Since we do fibromyalgia awareness EVERY DAY, all day at Lumigrate.com, and have been, 365 days a year, for over two years now, this year I wanted to bring it back 'home' -- that's been my theme for 2011 is to spend equal time in my own community which has AMAZING providers and people who have FMS, and 'inteGRATE' them with the equally amazing nation-wide providers. read more »

Fibro Awareness Day is in May and last year that fell about a month after Lumigrate launched. It was an exciting day for us because of facebook! It has been my observation that many people are out there looking for information and somehow missing the good resources that are on the Internet. People had spent tons of time online and hadn't heard of some of the basic information that could have really helped them. So I want to start providing solutions about that, and offer Lumigrate as a place for people "active" in the fibromyalgia community to come and read more »
We're creating a new area, inspired by a couple of people we've recently encountered who had stories to tell! So please let others YOU know who have fibromyalgia about this area of Lumigrate's Fibromyalgia Forum and encourage them to come share their stories as well. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!

As Lumigrate's Creative Director, it has been a pleasure talking to and learning from several of you out there who have Fibromyalgia. Looking back on when I first came to Lumigrate, I'm amazed at how much I've learned. Like so many of you, I spent years going to my doctor with symptoms and was never properly diagnosed (with hypothyroid). So many times we don't take control of our medical issues and we just trust that our doctors know what's best. read more »
