Read/Write in Forum about Hobbies and Interests - 2 LumiLinks Too.
Are YOU an Artist? Writer? Reader? Garden? Woodwork? Watch Movies?
Last night I attended a wonderful group time with the Collective Health Initiatives here in Grand Junction, Colorado, where there is NO snow and an almost full moon, but LOTS for skiing less than an hour away -- PERFECT in my opinion. There are many today shoveling snow and maybe inside more with winter still, so I want to say even last night it felt like spring here! I sat next to a woman whose business is art. She was wonderful and will be getting a personal invitation from me, as well as the woman whose card I got at the opening of the gargantuan new hospital building, and she had taken a year to make a gargantuan quilt.
When I see someone who is particularly good, I tackle them and share what Lumigrate is and what I think it can do for them AND for us if they contribute. Last night I tackled someone whose business is marketing and printing and all things about 'getting the word out'. But as we talked afterwards, we shared as much about our common hobbies and interests as we did our overlapping business interests which warrant collaborating. This is why I have put a Forum on Lumigrate.com for people to write about their hobbies and interests -- keep in mind, I'm an occupational therapist, and so how a person occupies their time is how they find fulfillment and their best life, and therefore health. The Forum is a way for people to commune about things they enjoy together -- exchange ideas, resources, enjoyment and build community related to an important aspect of 'integrative medicine' (which is body/mind/spirit), of leisure and enjoyment. Yenta and Alice, who have forum areas on Lumigrate because writing was something I could see they were enjoying as a hobby and I felt they had a lot to share that would help others if they were encouraged to create something. So if YOU have something you enjoy doing, please start at new Topic and write, and then if there's one there already, Comment on it and have a nice conversation for others to come along later and enjoy!

Live and Learn. Learn and Live Better! is my motto. I'm Mardy Ross, and I founded Lumigrate in 2008 after a career as an occupational therapist with a background in health education and environmental research program administration. Today I function as the desk clerk for short questions people have, as well as 'concierge' services offered for those who want a thorough exploration of their health history and direction to resources likely to progress their health according to their goals. Contact Us comes to me, so please do if you have questions or comments. Lumigrate is "Lighting the Path to Health and Well-Being" for increasing numbers of people. Follow us on social networking sites such as: Twitter: http://twitter.com/lumigrate and Facebook. (There is my personal page and several Lumigrate pages. For those interested in "groovy" local education and networking for those uniquely talented LumiGRATE experts located in my own back yard, "LumiGRATE Groove of the Grand Valley" is a Facebook page to join. (Many who have joined are beyond our area but like to see the Groovy information! We not only have FUN, we are learning about other providers we can be referring patients to and 'wearing a groove' to each other's doors -- or websites/home offices!) By covering some of the things we do, including case examples, it reinforces the concepts at Lumigrate.com as well as making YOU feel that you're part of a community. Which you ARE at Lumigrate!
