Hello - I wanted to stop by Lumigrate and post some information about sleep from our website.  I hope those reading the forums find this helpful; if you do, I encourage you to follow the link, below, in my signature (for (RenewedVitalityMD.com), and see all the information we have related to our unique treatments related to environmental medicine, age management (including biologically identical hormone supplementation for women AND men), sleep therapy, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and weight loss management. Hypothyroidism is addressed in many of the areas listed, above.  Here's an example of the sleep therapy tab/page:

Good sleep is necessary for a healthy life. Sleep renews and heals the body. If you are suffering from poor sleep, let us talk to you about our proven methods of Sleep Therapy.

The Problem:

Sleep is one of the most important and healing activities our bodies require.  When we cannot get appropriate sleep, our bodies begin to feel weary and run down.

If this pattern continues, the body begins to deteriorate in several areas; fatigue, brain fog, irritability, drowsiness and physical weakness.  It is imperative that good restful sleep be achieved.   While some people seem to do well with 5 hours of sleep, most people require 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night to be completely recharged.  Poor sleep leads to poor health and should be corrected in order to be successful in any health treatment program.  Several health factors can lead to poor sleep.

Some of the different types of sleep disorders are:

    • Chronic Insomnia
    • Sleep Apnea
    • “Racing Thought” Syndrome
    • Restless Leg Syndrome
    • Hot Flashes from Menopause
    • Frequent Nocturnal Urination
    • Pain
    • Hormone Deficiencies (e.g., Progesterone & Thyroid Hormone)
    • Stress
    • Inability to reach Phase 4 sleep

The Solution:

These disorders can be properly evaluated, diagnosed and treated.  ”Sleeping Pills” do not solve all sleep problems, and are not always recommended. Sleep disorders are distinct and require differing treatment plans.  Getting to the root problem and resolving it often lead to achieving deep, healing sleep.  It may take several steps to achieve these goals but they are definitely obtainable!

Good, restorative, restful sleep is critical to any person’s health!

Editing this blurb / tip in about how-to be learning at Lumigrate's forums, or as a reminder on September 9, 2017.  (1075 reads of this topic at this time.) Several topics in this forum have had 1,000 views or more, and I hope people are knowing how to navigate the website to find more in the 'area' of information you seek.

You can see the 'map' of the website .. Home on the left, then the Forums tab, then container/section. If you just click on the one at the end (right) you'll then see other topics in the forum.  If you click the one before that you'll see what forums are in the section, and if you click Forum you'll get the whole forum area. Click home and you get the landing page/home page.  I think people know that, they often don't think to click on the link to look into the forum at what other topics there are.  Particlarly when their brains are not working well, which --- is why you're here! So I hope that tip helps.

To make it easier if you'd prefer, here's a link to the forum showing all the topics that are in this sleep / insomnia forum.  www.lumigrate.com/forums/health-issuesdis-eases/sleep-and-insomnia

You will see a sleep survey provided by Dr. Jim Kennedy, DDS of the holistic kind.  I suggest you read and consider taking it and then taking action from there.  Take Care! ~ Mardy

New Topic on "Load Theory" To Support This re: Sleep

Please venture on the following link to a new "topic" I created recently about "Load Theory": Sleep dysfunction will add to the load; restorative sleep will unburden and offset, and is one of many, many things people can address for good health.  Link is: www.lumigrate.com/forum/are-you-loaded-what-i-see-causing-illnesses-soar-children-through-elderly
