I hope everyone is doing well.  This year has started full on into it as I busily work on writing the content for my new Foods for Fibromyalgia website in addition to our main site and along with running a busy practice.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Mardy for inviting me to post here on LUMIGRATE.com and for setting up a section especially for this purpose and for me to help with nutritional aspects and medicinal properties of foods to help with fibromyalgia.  I am honored and privileged to participate and to help wherever I can.   I love the work that I do and especially with helping people to fight this battle called  fibromyalgia.

There is quite a lot of evidence to show that fibromyalgia can often be triggered by stress and can represent a major disorder of the central nervous system and in particular the autonomic nervous system.  I have put up a blog posting about it for those who would like to read it here: blog.nutri-living.com/

I will be posting something each week to help and as new research and information becomes available.  Please feel free to respond with any questions or comments and its my pleasure to be of assistance.

To your good health,

Deirdre

Re: What does stress have to do with Fibromyalgia?

Thank you Dr. Raw lings.

For years I did not realize that the foods I was eating, although healthy foods, could be causing my fibromyalgia to be more problematic than it would have been had I avoided or limited those foods.

Thanks for taking your limited, precious, free time to devote to educating others.  That is an unselfish gift to humanity and I applaud you and all the others who contribute to Lumigrate for your service.

I look forward to reading everything you write.

Alice

We are so very proud to have her words and thoughts gracing our 'pages' of this website and look forward to what the future holds for her.

MY PLEASURE, Deirdre! Thank YOU.

We are honored and privileged to have you!  Thank you so very much.

I've just followed the link you gave and have to say I think it's one of the best capsulizations of stress and fibromyalgia I've read ANYWHERE EVER.  I'm so very glad that we've found each other, Deirdre... as one of my core concepts with Lumigrate is to not recreate any wheels if there is a wheel out there that works.  And in your case, it not only 'works', it's exceptionally RIGHT ON, and so completely fits with what I see here in Grand Junction with the IMC seminars that I've been attending since we formed it two years ago.  (and the previous months when I got the idea to 'do a website with this information I'm seeing).  I'm only one woman and had a limited amount of resources just like everyone (time, energy and money are resources) and so to find another 'one woman' to combine with the 'guys' you see in the videos on Lumigrate.com .... and ALL the other women (and guys) who are literally trickling into Lumigrate each day now to contribute.  It's quite 'substantial'.  And as many know, "integrative medicine" believes that food is your first medicine, and then you go up from there with supplementation, herbs, hormones, working on the energy systems of the body (which draws in acupuncture as well as concepts related to visualization and dance even, as we'll learn from Kohava Howard when she returns from a family emergency in Canada), medications only as necessary and as little as possible. So to have YOU with US, doing this work together is truly 'SYNERGY'.

You're a blessing - (as is facebook so that we connected, eh?) and I look forward to a long road ahead of us that will lead to such improved health for so many.

With Love and Thanks -

Mardy

To further her career, she is currently working on two Masters degrees, one in Counseling from Seton Hall University.
