Since Morgellon's Disease is known for the skin lesions, and is different from the other overlapping conditions that are more 'invisible' (Lyme, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, MS, lupus, etc.), the topic thread I initially created in 2013 and added onto it today in 2014 is in the aesthetics forum, but I wanted to create a topic here in this forum to route people to it if they 'put in here'. To clarify, the overlapping conditions have many of the same underlying reasons and have many of the same symptoms as well as some differences. Morgellons' difference is the outward skin lesions.

So, here's the link -- it initially was a topic overview and  my insights overall about a 2008 Nightline segment that occurred at the start of an NIH study and the researchers had found some fibers that were analyzed by the city's crime lab using the FBI database and the fibers were like nothing in the database at that time. No surprise for anyone who has been at the chronic 'baffling' illness 'game' in the US for long and knows how the research system and medical system and other systems 'work together', that the conclusion of the study showed there are no fibers found in wounds of people with Morgellons and upholds the long-held 'line' that it's from within the mind/psychiatric.

Now that I gave you the spoiler alert to what the study showed, I hope you'll go WATCH the video I give the overview about and consider that perhaps some in the media news business and research business who know how the systems work were 'doing the right thing' in getting something at the start of the study out of the researchers hands and into the city's crime lab to be in the 11 minute segment to 'legitimize'. Sometimes we do best to 'read between the lines' and 'connect dots', so I suggest readers do that in this case.

Then I add on (today) with a 2012 study that was done by four researchers in a very small way but it looked like they did a good job with their work, and it was reported at a free access information website, so I've made it simple for YOUsers and provided the article at Lumigrate (with a link to the original source and all components in tact). Essentially they found fibers and analyzed them and ascertain that it's something that would occur due to the effects of things carried by ticks and thus Morgellons appears to them to be 'tick-born'. There's been a huge increase in awareness, education, and treatment about chronic Lyme disease, which has many co-occurring diseases that are other 'bugs' carried by the bug that can get passed to the host animal when they are embedded long enough.

There is also a belief I have seen written about in some circles that the recent attention on Lyme, which had a lot to do with certain groups that became active and the creation and promotion of a documentary titled Under Our Skin, is intended to overshadow Morgellons and make everyone run in the direction of treating chronic Lyme and thinking 'it's all about Lyme', and there is potentially other aspects in Morgellons that would then be overlooked and basically swept under the rug in terms of cause. There are some who surmise that the causes were intentional and there's basically trickery, or smoke and mirrors, sweeping under the rug, etc. going on.  Which naturally is important and interesting to consider and keep in mind.

But this research from 2012 is interesting in that they conclude in a way that weaves Morgellons in with tick-born and is one of the overlapping conditions under the 'green' (Lyme) umbrella.
