I am going to speak on behalf of the Lumigrate Forum community.  In the first 9 months of the website, the forum area about fibromyalgia has truly been one of the most impressive and pride-full things I've ever experienced.  I don't have children but I know how parents have such a sense of pride when they see their kids doing something that has nothing more to do with the parent than they created the person.  There are amazing, wise people -- mostly women -- who wrote in that area so far.  And MUCH of what we were writing about had aspects to it that had to do with nutrition and which a qualified person would have been able to help us with.

Two of the women that I saw on facebook regularly were talking about what they were making for their families for dinner and they both were really good cooks and so I created the Recipes area under Nutrtion for them.  And then amazing things happened ... southern cooks, New Mexico cooks, and others contributed recipes!  "Oh, you don't care if they're healthy? Allright, then I'll submit!"  I figured we'd find the RIGHT person to use them as training exercises for us.  (or people -- this is an open forum!).  And at the end of 2009, I had the good fortune to be connected on facebook to Dr. Rawlings.  We made time to talk regularly and she excitedly suggested earlier today that she could fulfill the role of 'resident nutrition regular contributor' for Lumigrate.  So THANK YOU, and I very much look forward to seeing what comes in 2010.

She is currently creating much content for a new website and training new staff -- much the place I was this time last year, so for now she will not have as much time as she will in the future.  But I know that her perspective clicks with that of the foundational information of Lumigrate, which you will see in the videos.  Please keep in mind that another naturopath -- my personal naturopath -- Christopher Lepsito, has contributed videos which are free for you to watch (about full barrel syndrome and chronic illenss) or for a nominal $20 charge (on detoxification and cleansing or food allergies).  We are very much committed to bringing valid, progressive, streamlined and FUN information to you which doesn't confuse but enlightens, and yet gives slightly different perspectives.  Because information keeps changing and growing and there is no one answer for everyone.  "Lighting the Path to Health and Well-Being" is our slogan and so .... Looking forward to holding the light for Deirdre ....

Remember, Commenting allows for discussion here in the Forum areas.... we love hearing from YOU.  It is all about YOU at Lumigrate!  ~~ Mardy

Hi Mardy and Everyone!

Thanks so much for the warm and wonderful welcome, Mardy and I am happy to be here and have finally made it!  The new year as kicked into full gear as I hit the ground running with a new office location, 2 new staff to train and 2 new websites being launched.  Its all good and we are pleased to expand our client offerings and support many new people with a variety of disorders and conditions from fibromyalgia to crohn's disease.

You have done a fabulous job with LUMIGRATE's site and this forum, Mardy and I am excited to be a part of it.  I look forward to contributing as often as possible on topics near and dear to my heart such as holisitic nutrition, naturopathic medicine, herbal medicine, and will probably sneak a few healthy recipes in there also.  Well, I will keep this message short as I go off elsewhere under another section to begin posting.

Look forward to more chats and hearing from you soon.

To your good health!

Deirdre
