Hello my dawlinks!  It's your Yenta, yet again.  So nu (What's going on)?  The weekend held some very interesting things, no?  September 11th, everyone was asking 'where were you when 'it' happened?"  "Have you been watching all the shows on TV?"  "Did you pick up the newspaper, it's historic you know."  Oy!  It's enough all ready!

Don't get me wrong Liblings, these are very khoshev (important) times, and khoshev questions to bare in mind but there are still more khoshev things to consider... Shall we arumredn (discuss)?  Of course, we shall.  I'm your Yenta, that's what I do.

Bubelehs, remembering is a wonderful thing, a great tool.  You can take a piece of something out, look at it, analyze it, dust it off, use a little Windex on it if you'd like, perhaps a little silver polish and put it back in the memory banks for safe keeping until next time you feel like sharing or not.  It's also khoshev for you to understand that these memories, thoughts, feelings, anecdotes, can also be painful to you.  I don't mean just emotionally painful, but physically as well; so what's a person to do?  I'm so glad you asked.

Windows are used for many things.  You can see through them, clean them, stain them, cover them with blinds, shades, curtains, drapes, decorations, and you can open and close them.  Personally, I enjoy an opened window.  Letting in the fresh air is wonderful, unless of course we're in the city and then you're only letting in the fumes from the trucks and cars and noise from the... meyle (never mind). That's one of the reasons why I enjoy living here in Florida now.  I'm such an alta kaker!

Where was I?  Ah, the purpose of windows.  Close your eyes.  Not now, you're still reading!  Picture a window in your mind's eye, also known as your 'imagination'.  Go ahead, dawlinks, you still have one of those; you're not too grown up, trust me on this.

Now, open the window and throw something through it.  Go on, anything at all.  A dust bunny, a laundry basket, an old shoe (someone's cursing me right now for that one); anything you want to throw; do it!  Now close the window.  That window is yours to dispose of anything you need to.  Whatever you deem doesn't 'belong to you' anymore.

  • Something that was said to you that plays over and over in your head - out the window!
  • A feeling that was trampled on - out the window!
  • A REALLY rotten day - out the window!
  • A moment in time that you just can't seem to fathom right now? - Place it on the window sill to be looked at later.                                                Blue Balloon / streamer/ hand / blue sky

There are no hard and fast rules here, Bubelehs, unless you make them up, and even then, you can change them.  So tell your Yenta, how will you decorate your window?  Where is it?  Does it sit in a house ... or is it floating in the great cosmos of time like mine does?  Everything I throw through my window becomes stardust.

It couldn't hurt!

Your

Yenta
