A great deal about aging has to do with exercise and nutrition.  Something many people don't realize, that I only learned in my late 40's, is that exercise, spread across the day, regulates your hormone systems.  If a person were to spend three 'breaks' doing 15 minutes of walking it would have a different effect than one 45 minute walk, essentially.  That's something 'to think about' for sure.

Eating lots of organic vegetables and taking the proper supplements is a large part, and we have much to offer at Lumigrate related to supplementing nutrition: A video by Scott Rollins, MD titled Supplements and Disease Prevention which comes complete with a handout to follow on with on the screen or print out, plus loads in the Nutrition section, "Supplementing What You Eat" forum.  There are also recipes and other things to be FUN and support the concepts.  (Not all are 'healthy' recipes, they are 'homey' as well).

When I worked with patients in insurance-based medicine doing occupational therapy, I'd get their age on their incoming paperwork, but I'd ask them "How old are you?" -- "in your mind".  Particularly the ones who seemed mentally younger than their physical bodies represented.   I just hope my mental and physical aging go hand in hand.   I value the education I've gotten from the seminars I attended, some of which are here for you at Lumigrate, and the written / readable information.  I hope you feel the same. Supplements, exercise, nutrition, hormones prescribed well .... YOU have a lot of power when it comes to aging.

Contact Us comes to me, so please do if you have questions or comments. Lumigrate is "Lighting the Path to Health and Well-Being" for increasing numbers of people. Follow us on social networking sites such as: Twitter: http://twitter.com/lumigrate and Facebook. (There is my personal page and several Lumigrate pages. For those interested in "groovy" local education and networking for those uniquely talented LumiGRATE experts located in my own back yard, "LumiGRATE Groove of the Grand Valley" is a Facebook page to join. (Many who have joined are beyond our area but like to see the Groovy information! We not only have FUN, we are learning about other providers we can be referring patients to and 'wearing a groove' to each other's doors -- or websites/home offices!) By covering some of the things we do, including case examples, it reinforces the concepts at Lumigrate.com as well as making YOU feel that you're part of a community. Which you ARE at Lumigrate!
