Are you looking for solutions or just seeing problems?
Do you see problems every day or solutions?
Optimists pay attention to the solution, while other people can get stuck on the problem.
I think that optimism comes from within. It reflects your belief system and attitude towards everything that occurs around you. I don’t ignore bad news and I am realistic about areas where I know that improvements would help me. Optimism, for me, is choosing how I "frame" events and where I focus my energy.
Here are some common threads that we optimists share:
- Expect the best in everything – not the worst
- Remain upbeat- even when things go wrong
- See the solutions in the problems – instead of only seeing problems
- Believe that you can achieve your goals-even when others say you have failed
- When you hit a brick wall- look for a way to use the wall or go around it
The people who bounce back from adversity are resilient and optimism is one of their key tools. I believe that it makes good sense to spend your energy on possibilities instead of what did not happen for you. I choose to focus my energy on looking for solutions and learning from my challenges rather than getting stopped by them. What is your best strategy for dealing with challenges?
