Anatomy Coloring Book. A MUST Have for all Homes
I was working on a question from someone about the spleen and realized how often I reach for a book I would not likely have purchased if I had not had to study and get a really good grade in Human Anatomy class (we used cadavers, it was an excruciating summer of learning for me.).
I'm posting a link to look at the book at Barnes and Noble's website; naturally there are MANY places to obtain this book but for whatever reasons, I like to support "B and N". There's even still a brick and mortar version in my home city of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Due to my learning disabilities, I extended this 'use colored pencils' technique to my class notes; I would record the lecture and take notes as best I could in a three ring notebook turned so it was 11" across, so I'd get more words written before I'd have to bring my hand back to start a new line at the left. (I generally caught about 99% of what I needed to write down.) Then I'd go over my notes with the colored pencils and the tape later that day or the next (before the next class), and then I'd review those colored "doubly reinforced at the time of lecture/learning" before the tests. And THAT is what it takes for me to get as good grades as I could in the time and energy I had for studying. It was a full time endeavor, OT school was like medical school, you are completely immersed in the classes and group projects, internships and unable to work for at least two years. And THIS and the other books in their series, have become one of my favorite 'library books' at my home. I hope, if it would be helpful to YOU, you purchase a copy or ask for one as a gift from someone. AND as always, remember, that emailing or printing and getting this to your local library might help others in your community have the GRATEst books on their shelves and not cost YOU a dime!

Live and Learn. Learn and Live Better! is my motto. I'm Mardy Ross, and I founded Lumigrate in 2008 after a career as an occupational therapist with a background in health education and environmental research program administration. Today I function as the desk clerk for short questions people have, as well as 'concierge' services offered for those who want a thorough exploration of their health history and direction to resources likely to progress their health according to their goals. Contact Us comes to me, so please do if you have questions or comments. Lumigrate is "Lighting the Path to Health and Well-Being" for increasing numbers of people. Follow us on social networking sites such as: Twitter: http://twitter.com/lumigrate and Facebook. (There is my personal page and several Lumigrate pages. For those interested in "groovy" local education and networking for those uniquely talented LumiGRATE experts located in my own back yard, "LumiGRATE Groove of the Grand Valley" is a Facebook page to join. (Many who have joined are beyond our area but like to see the Groovy information! We not only have FUN, we are learning about other providers we can be referring patients to and 'wearing a groove' to each other's doors -- or websites/home offices!) By covering some of the things we do, including case examples, it reinforces the concepts at Lumigrate.com as well as making YOU feel that you're part of a community. Which you ARE at Lumigrate!
