MS
Multiple Sclerosis is a topic that has particularly interested me. I was aware of it before adulthood, and knew people who became daignosed with it. In the mid 1990s, I had a "boom" of people with M.S. cross my path, and when I had symptoms of what was something else, M.S. was what I suspected, the primary physician, and the neurologist. read more »
I'm inclined to suggest to people who want to know what Lumigrate has to offer about chronic Lyme, fatigue, pain, neurological degeneration, etc. to 'just go to the forums at Lumigrate and look around, after you've looked at all the other links briefly and gotten the overview'. read more »

Finding the reality about the history and statistics about how many people actually have Lyme / Borrelia, "The Great Imitator" is very difficult because, well, it's a great imitator, for one thing. And because there are different 'camps' of beliefs about it. Please know going in that it's not an easy subject to study, but in my opinion it is imperative that all people today, whether they recognize it as a threat to them or not, know about it. Because it has affected massive numbers of people, who are mostly unwittingly hosting and transmitting it. read more »

As Lumigrate YOUsers know, you're likely to find "GRATE" websites here that I've found in my traversing the frontiers I traverse in my work bringing progressive, valid information to Lumigrate, in order to STREAMLINE YOUsers' efforts and increase their odds of getting the best health-changing information. I've had to put on my detective hat AND take out my magnifying glass on this one, though, it ended up being a bit perplexing and a really GRATE example to take YOUsers through. read more »
Emotions and copper; people who are violent have copper 'issues' at work (think verbal and emotionally violent and not just physical, perhaps). This is one of the key things presented at NourishingPlot. read more »
A recent conference in Washington state, put on by "The Kinghardt Academy", has now taken place and has a great overview topic by the Better Health Guy's website. I'm hoping everyone who has an interest in chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain that is from fibromyalgia, MS, ALS, Parkinsons, Lewy body disease, Alzheimers, and autism, etc. is aware of this conference having taken place and the information that is available which has come from it. read more »

YOUsers of Lumigrate will hopefully benefit from this topic about essential oils and the resources I've selected to support those interested in essential oils. Essential oils are something I've 'respected' related to wellness for a very long time, and I'd had my antennae up about information sources since the 'dawn of time for Lumigrate', which was 2008 when we were creating the website within an innovative boutique medicine center. And I want to underscore the word 'respect' about essential oils right up front: These are potent potions. read more »

Lewy body disease just got a boost on the 'awareness' level yesterday, Father's Day 2014, with the passing of the legendary 'voice' from Casey Kasem. I learned of this NOT on Facebook, though I was on Facebook while listening to the radio. I'd tuned into a weekly radio show by a local music 'maven', and I've enjoyed the new station the show was picked up on because after noon they go to old reruns of America's Top 40 with Casey Kasem. read more »

Taking the printing presses and cash registers by storm most recently is Grain Brain by David Perlmutter. I'd first become aware of it on Facebook, but saw the cover displayed at the impulse aisle/waiting area where the lines form at the ever-popular Natural Grocers (formerly Vitamin Cottage). read more »
St. Patrick's Day was yesterday and I had to chuckle at the information I was watching on television from the author of the current bestselling book Grain Brain, David Perlmutter, MD. His message strongly reinforces everything we've had for the five years since Lumigrate launched in March of 2009, and carries it orders of magnitude further in terms of focusing on things related to the brain and grains that have gluten in them. AND things that drive the blood sugar up and down and around. Ever heard of 'glycemic index'? read more »
