The clasp is hidden (next to the Marvella tag, to the right in the photo above), there is individual knotting between each manufactured pearl, which total 66. It is vintage from the mid-century (1950's to 1960's), I believe. Gold tone. A classic for all time! Price: $33 (plus $5 shipping).
These would make a lovely gift or purchase to anyone who wanted to have "the classic" at hand to wear.
I remember in my late 20s, I asked for a pearl necklace for Christmas and was given my option of a full string of quality manufactured pearls or a necklace with a few natural pearls. I opted for the full strand of manufactured. They were not the full length as these are, however. I'd have loved these, as well!
