COVID19 PCR Testing; "...like trying to say whether somebody has bad breath by looking at his fingerprint."

My July 9 topic on Lumigrate, my first about COVID-19, had just crossed 500 reads at the time I read the above words by a science-focused dentist on the East Coast of the US, Mark Wisniewski.  (The topic is in the same forum as this thread/topic if you wish to navigate to visit it.)

I was pleased with the response to my thread about a Michigan MD's study published in July about his clinic's novel approach to treating COVID-19 using nutrition and oxygen, with follow up coverage of an interview with lead author Dr. David Brownstein and the publisher, James Lyons-Weiler, PhD. 

Dr. Lyons-Weiler is known as "Dr. Jack", and had the foresight to create a non-profit and a journal to serve as platforms since the controlled publications filter and publish what they want to be known to the public and hold up the rest.  So for any novice learners looking for a fair balance of evidence-based medicine on issues, remember that it's not an even playing field.  The public seeking information has to take the time to give to those of us non-affiliated with the deep pockets, and give some from yours.  (Thank you to those who can and do.) It had worked out very well, and he'd been pleased with the thread (and read numbers.)

So I had my radar up for what to add next at Lumigrate regarding COVID-19, and testing was at the top of my list to cover.  And here it is!

I've been transparent with how I cross paths with providers I utilize to help create new content at Lumigrate, and many of them, after Lumigrate launched in 2009, began as Facebook connections.  (Lumigrate launched with providers I'd actually shared patients with and helped start up a new clinic with seminars as education and marketing that I produced then recorded a complement for download.  The clinic group shifted almost immediately, the public needed streaming to come to fruition before embracing recorded seminars, and I went on to focus on written, readable information from US and International providers.  Facebook was key to my connections, and still is, though censorship is making many of us look for what other platform to jump to.  

This thread, inspired by "Dr. Mark" Wisniewski, shows why I've encouraged people to use Facebook to their advantage to find informative and/or supportive groupsand individuals related to their medical issues or concerns.  In 2020, COVID-19 and it's testing, reporting, prevention, and treatment are commonalities among a wide variety people seeking to get beyond what the controlled media sources are providing.  And that's perhaps why you are here!  

Dental was one area I had the least amount of personal and professional experience with.  Mainstream medicine separates dental and mental from physical, and occupational therapists work in physical or, if you're lucky, mental, but not dental.  Naturally I'd pick up a bit when working with grooming and hygiene, if the patients had reason to talk with me about their oral health, appliances, and experiences, but I was mostly seeing people who had dentures.  So I was missing experience with people who sought out biological dentists, holistic dentists, etc. 

So I sought acceptance to be part of a group on Facebook having to do with jawbone infection and complex dental issues. My presence was not initially appreciated by some, since I wasn't a provider helping the consumers with their questions on the subject, and I wasn't a consumer with a need for help, though I would soon be helping clients with learning and action regarding dental issues and if they were inclined to use Facebook, I'd suggest the group. Thankfully the creator administering the group understood why I was there, and allowed it. 

I'd rapidly learn that one of the mainstays in the group from the provider side of things at that time was Mark Wisniewski, and eventually we connected as Facebook friends.  I looked around to find a photograph to use here, and chose this one:

So, being interested as I am in the controversy over COVID-19 testing, I corresponded with Dr. Mark, who suggested an article "COVID19 PCR Tests are Scientifically Meaningless, Though the whole world relies on RT-PCR to diagnose Sars-Cov-2 infection, the science is clear: they are not fit for purpose" By Torsten Engelbrecht and Konstantin Demeter.

I'm distilling and featuring portions of it here, as Dr. Mark stated it is the best single source he knows of at this point in time on the subject of PCR testing. The key information about the authors and the source from my point of view is:

Torsten Engelbrecht is an award-winning journalist and author from Hamburg, Germany. In 2006 he co-authored Virus-Mania with Dr Klaus Kohnlein, and in 2009 he won the German Alternate Media Award [11]. He has also written for Rubikon, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Financial Times Deutschland and many others. 

Konstantin Demeter is a freelance photographer and an independent researcher. Together with the journalist Torsten Engelbrecht he has published articles on the “COVID-19” crisis in the online magazine Rubikon, as well as contributions on the monetary system, geopolitics, and the media in Swiss Italian newspapers.

Remarkably, in the instruction manuals of PCR tests we can also read that they are not intended as a diagnostic test, as for instance in those by Altona Diagnostics [12] and Creative Diagnostics[5 [13]].

To quote another one, in the product announcement of the LightMix Modular Assays produced by TIB Molbiol — which were developed using the Corman et al. protocol — and distributed by Roche [14] we can read:

These assays are not intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of coronavirus infection”

And:

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.”

"It is like trying to say why someone has bad breath by looking at his fingerprint."  This was a personal favorite of mine, which came from this part of the article: 

"We have also contacted Dr Charles Calisher, who is a seasoned virologist. In 2001, Science published an “impassioned plea…to the younger generation” from several veteran virologists, among them Calisher, saying that:

[modern virus detection methods like] sleek polymerase chain reaction […] tell little or nothing about how a virus multiplies, which animals carry it, [or] how it makes people sick. [It is] like trying to say whether somebody has bad breath by looking at his fingerprint.”[3 [15]] "

 

Why Do We Expect Tests to Be Accurate?  I think it's because we do have some accurate tests, as well as we know how technologically advanced things can be.  But we don't tend to think that someone would "bury" something good in order to use something that's effectively a booby trap.  We simply have cognitive dissonance and want to believe our best interests are in mind.  Even after we figure out that's not the way it always is, when it comes to the controlled medical / scientific / media  complex.  

While reading the extensive, interesting article about testing of this type, I kept thinking about thyroid testing.  My father, as a teen in the 1930's, was tested by a country doctor using some sort of a test where he breathed a gas of some sort, and what he exhaled was measured.  He'd receive thyroid hormone supplementally and feel and perform better.  

I was born after a test for TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) was available, and since I had so many complaints and symptoms consistent with low thyroid, and family history on my father's side, I was tested by doctors from the time I was a very young adult, at least a dozen different doctors were eager to test because I had so many symptoms. 

Alas, I went without supplementation / medication because the results were always "within normal limits". Finally in my mid 40s my thyroid enlarged enough a massage therapist saw it and pointed it out to me, concernedly.  I sought the advise of my doctor, who tested it in ways other than mainstream's way.  I got on supplementation of the hormone and my life improved a great deal. 

In the mean time, through mainstream and other providers, countless thousands of dollars were spent on my care due to this "missed diagnosis", and my life had been negatively affected by it tremendously.  Here's a photo taken around that time:  and one taken about a year later, after proper thyroid testing, treatment and many other things I did helped.  

I'd then learn about the Lyme disease test that mainstream utilizes versus the other testing a person can seek, and how many people are "missed diagnosed" as a result. (Seek Under Our Skin, a documentary movie for background information, though I'd not suggest running with the ball about treatments as presented in the movie without further investigation of more current therapies and providers.)

Lyme testing history, when I've attempted to study it,  reminded me of a complicated Who Done It plot, and at the end of the day, I could only understand how it came about if you can accept corruption and selfish motivation. It's known as "The Lyme Crime", sadly.  Thankfully, Facebook helped activists get more footing, and it seems their latest visits to Washington have had some impact.  A lot of cards in the house of cards are getting punched out or weakened lately.... 

And now we have this, in terms of motive, from within the article of focuse here about COVID-19: 

Thus, the thought inevitably emerges that financial and political interests play a decisive role for this ignorance about scientific obligations. NB, the WHO, for example has financial ties with drug companies, as the British Medical Journal showed in 2010 [16].

And experts criticize [17] “that the notorious corruption and conflicts of interest at WHO have continued, even grown“ since then. The CDC as well, to take another big player, is obviously no better off [18].

Finally, the reasons and possible motives remain speculative, and many involved surely act in good faith; but the science is clear: The numbers generated by these RT-PCR tests do not in the least justify frightening people who have been tested “positive” and imposing lockdown measures that plunge countless people into poverty and despair or even drive them to suicide.
